Michael Hicks

Michael Hicks graduated with a degree in computer science from the University of Hertfordshire, England. In 2008, he obtained a Ph.D. in the area of computer architecture (processor design), specifically energy efficiency, from the Compiler Technology and Computer Architecture group at the same university. Subsequently, he spent two years as a researcher at the University of Amsterdam working on a novel parallel architecture, programming model and compiler in the Computer Systems Architecture group.
In December 2010, Michael joined Diagnostic Image Analysis Group Nijmegen in an evenly divided role comprising research, with a focus on MRI breast cancer detection in the Highly Accurate Breast Cancer Diagnosis (HAMAM) project, and scientific software development for the Prostate CAD workstation project.
