Cheryl Sital obtained her BSc and MSc in Biomedical Engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology. For her master, she followed the Medical Imaging Track, a collaborative effort with the University Medical Center Utrecht. For her graduation project she explored deep learning techniques for automatic liver segmentation in CT volumes using labeled and unlabeled data. In March 2020, she joined the Diagnostic Image Analysis Group as a PhD candidate. Cheryl stopped her PhD trajectory in September 2021. Under the supervision of Colin Jacobs, Mathias Prokop, and Bram van Ginneken, she worked on deep learning techniques for improved assessment of oncological CT scans.
