After a short summer break, we’re back with a fresh edition of the DIAG newsletter! Big Achievements
We are proud to celebrate several outstanding achievements within DIAG over the past months:
- Alessa Hering received the Fraunhofer ICT Dissertation Award 2024 for her PhD thesis on deep-learning-based image registration and tumor follow-up analysis.
- A team of five DIAG/CPG members, Nefise Uysal, Clément Grisi, Geert Litjens, Catherine Chia, and Nadieh Khalili, successfully completed the Alpe d’HuZes challenge, together contributing to the €19 million raised for the Dutch Cancer Society.
- Francesco Ciompi was awarded an Academic Medical Network grant to support the ENDO-AID 2.0 project, advancing AI-assisted diagnosis of endometrial pathology.
- Henkjan Huisman was appointed Full Professor of AI Guided Imaging at Radboudumc, recognizing his leadership in developing trustworthy AI for healthcare.
