Novartis Transplantation Award for Computational Pathology group

This year it was for the 20th time that the Novartis Transplantation Awards were awared during the annual Bootcongres of the Dutch Transplantation Society. The awards consist of two categories; Clinical Research and Basic Research.

The work of Meyke Hermsen and colleagues on Deep learning for histopathologic renal tissue assessment, published in the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology last year, was selected from 11 nominations for the Basic Research Award. The price consist of a certificate and a monetary award of 3000 euros for the Computational Pathology group.

The Clinical Research Award was handed out to fellow Radboudumc employee Elena Kamburova for the publication 'Antibodies against ARHGDIB are associated with longā€term kidney graft loss', published in the American Journal of Transplantation last year.
