Johannes Lettner

Johannes Lettner is a pathology resident in his 4th year at University Hospital Salzburg (Austria). In 2024 he started to study at the European MSc in Molecular Pathology (Université Côte d’ Azur), an international program which covers the latest developments in surgical and molecular pathology. He is in charge of the digitalization process at the Institute of Surgical Pathology and Molecular Pathology University Hospital Salzburg and was able to already gain experience in a fully digitized pathology institute at IPATIMUP (Porto, Portugal) under the guidance of Prof. Catarina Eloy during an internship in 2025. In April 2026 he started his internship in the Computational Pathology Group under the supervision of Francesco Ciompi and Jeroen van der Laak to get a profound insight into computational pathology, and how pathologists can aid in furthering its development.
