Nynke Dijkhuis

PhD Candidate

Nynke Dijkhuis is a PhD candidate, embedded in the Minimally Invasive Image-Guided Intervention Center (MAGIC) and the Diagnostic Image Analysis Group (DIAG) at Radboudumc. Since December 2025, her research has focused on improving the prediction of local tumor progression following thermal ablation in patients with colorectal liver metastases and prostate cancer. By combining clinical expertise, artificial intelligence, and quantitative margin assessment, she aims to improve the prediction of treatment outcomes and contribute to the optimization of thermal ablation therapies. Her work is driven by an interest in translating technological innovations into meaningful clinical impact. Nynke is jointly supervised by Kristian Overduin, Jurgen Fütterer, and Anindo Saha.
