Tahereh Zarrat Ehsan is a PhD candidate at the AI for Parkinson Lab, where she is developing methods for the automatic assessment of Parkinson's disease through video analysis. Under the supervision of Luc Evers, Yagmur Gucluturk, Michael Tangermann, and Bas Bloem, her research focuses on creating digital biomarkers to evaluate the severity and progression of motor symptoms in patients with Parkinson's disease.

Before pursuing her PhD, Tahereh earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from University of Guilan, with specializations in machine learning and computer vision. Her master thesis involved the development of an AI model that recognizes abnormal human behaviour from video sequences using video processing and machine learning techniques.
