Abstract

In this thesis we present an automatic method to quantify tracheal abnonnalities in thoracic CT images from COPD patients and validated a CT standardization pro tocol that allows for a robust quantification of emphysema that is independent of reconstruction settings. This section contains a general summary of every chapter in this thesis.
