
Bendik Skarre Abrahamsen

Bendik Skarre Abrahamsen is a postdoctoral researcher at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He received his Master's degree in physics and mathematics from NTNU in 2019 with a thesis on cluster analysis of MR images of rectal cancer. He received his PhD in medical technology from NTNU in 2024. The topic for his PhD research was technical advancements, image interpretation, and clinical management of prostate-specific membrane antigen PET/MRI for prostate cancer. In his postdoctoral research, he is working on the FLIP.AI project, which aims to develop, validate, and implement federated learning to improve diagnostic prostate cancer imaging. During his research stay at Radboud UMC under the supervision of Henkjan Huisman he seeks to find opportunities for collaborative projects on federated learning and explore opportunities for integrating federated learning with the Grand challenge platform.
