Mourya Bandaru is a second-year Master's student in Data Science at Radboud University. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer science and joined the CARA Lab in February 2026 to work on his thesis. His research involves developing a deep learning pipeline for detecting and segmenting cholesterol crystals and macrophages in OCT images, contributing to OCT-AID, a tool for automated segmentation of coronary OCT imaging. He is supervised by Thijs Luttikholt and Jos Thannhauser.
