Sil van de Leemput is a Research Scientist RTC Deep Learning at the Diagnostic Image Analysis Group. Starting from August 2023 he started working as part of the RTC Deep Learning team and has been working on various deep learning and medical imaging related projects.

Before being a full time member of the RTC Deep Learning team, he worked on deep learning projects with a focus on chest CT under the supervision of Colin Jacobs from August 2019 - August 2023. This project was partially funded by and carried out in close collaboration with MeVis Medical Solutions (MMS).

From 2015-2019 Sil worked as a PhD candidate on Computer Aided Diagnosis in acute stroke at the Diagnostic Image Analysis Group. In 2010, Sil obtained a Bachelor of Technology (with Honours) in Design for Virtual Theater and Games at the University of the Arts Utrecht. Subsequently, he studied Artificial Intelligence at the Radboud University in Nijmegen, for which he obtained his Bachelor degree in 2013 (Cum Laude) and his Master degree in 2015 (Cum Laude).
