Tiago Coelho
PhD Candidate
Tiago Coelho is a PhD candidate working on the HealthAI project in the Diagnostic Image Analysis Group (DIAG) under Henkjan Huisman's supervision. His work primarily focuses on prostate cancer diagnosis with MRI, specifically on developing trustworthy, robust AI to assist the operator with recommendations for patient-tailored strategies. In 2023, he obtained his MSc in Biomedical Engineering from NOVA University of Lisbon. He worked on prostate MRI acceleration for his master’s thesis at the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) in collaboration with the fastMRI project.
