Tommaso Russo

Tommaso Russo is a radiologist and PhD candidate in Experimental and Clinical Medicine at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, Milan. He is currently working on the development and clinical validation of imaging-based AI models for cancer diagnosis, risk stratification, and treatment response assessment. His research focuses mainly on oncologic imaging, radiomics, and artificial intelligence applied to abdominal and genitourinary cancers, with a particular interest in translating quantitative imaging biomarkers into clinically useful decision-support tools. During his research stay at the Diagnostic Image Analysis Group, he is involved in projects aimed at validating AI models for renal cancer imaging and structured radiological assessment under the supervision of Alessa Hering.
