Natália Alves is a PhD candidate at the Diagnostic Image Analysis Group (DIAG) working in the PANCAIM project: machine learning for pancreatic cancer across pathology, radiology and genetics, where she focuses on deep learning in radiology applications under the supervision of Henkjan Huisman. In 2020, she obtained her Integrated Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Coimbra with a specialization in Medical Imaging and Radiation. Her past affiliations also include the Portuguese Institute of Oncology, the University of Heidelberg (Germany) and the Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science of Coimbra (Portugal).
