Kiran Vaidhya Venkadesh
Kiran is a Ph.D. candidate at Radboudumc. He started working at the Diagnostic Image Analysis Group (DIAG) in November 2019. He is working on early lung cancer detection from chest CT images using deep learning. His research focus is on estimating the malignancy risk of lung nodules with an emphasis on temporal analysis. He is supervised by Bram van Ginneken, Mathias Prokop and Colin Jacobs under Artificial intelligence for lung cancer screening at DIAG.
Kiran completed his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in the Engineering Design department at IIT Madras, in 2016, with a specialization in Biomedical Design. He worked on brain tumor segmentation using deep learning for his Master's thesis at the MiRL lab. After his graduation, he worked at Predible Health for three years and developed deep learning solutions for medical image analysis.
